Antonio Carullo was born in Palermo on July, 6th 1984. He has always been a lover of good gastronomy and good wine, he attended courses and obtained the title of A.I.S. (Italian Sommelier Association).
Particularly curious, in the first years of his career as a sommelier he loved going around vineyards and cellars in search of the most interesting wines to taste and people who produce it.

Antonio Sanguineti did his first harvest when he was 8 years old and began crafting wine at age sixteen on his family’s farm (Pagliarese Winery) in Castelnuovo Berardenga ( Siena ).
His long list of mentors and partners reads like a virtual who’s who in Italian enology. Among a lot of known names. none had a greater influence on him than the legendary Giulio Gambelli, which was the oenologist of Fattoria Pagliarese “He was Tuscany,” says Antonio. He was an old-fashioned man who knew how to value time and demanded that wines enter the market only when in his opinion they were ready. Together with Giacomo Tachis he was the person who most influenced the great Tuscan winemaking from the post-war period up to the early 2000’s.
With the knowledge and experience gained during the collaboration with various Tuscan winemakers, he decided, while still young, to directly manage vineyards in the most important areas of Tuscany and, in the years of his maturity, to start a series of collaborations with producers and friends winemakers; the combination of these two activities culminated in the creation of the Antonio Sanguineti Brand.
